From the iconic Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stirring address to the nation on the 77th Independence Day. The historic occasion witnessed the presence of several Union Ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with other esteemed dignitaries like Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. However, conspicuous by his absence was Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Largest Opposition party.

The event, which celebrates one of the most significant moments in India's history, was attended by a host of prominent figures from various spheres of public life. As the national flag fluttered against the backdrop of the Red Fort, the chair reserved for Mallikarjun Kharge remained unoccupied, sparking speculation about the reason behind his unexpected absence.

Kharge's non-participation in the Independence Day celebration at the Red Fort left many puzzled. The chief of the Grand Old Party, Kharge's absence was particularly notable as this was the first Independence Day after he assumed the leadership of the Congress party in October of the last year.

While no official statement has been issued regarding the reason for Kharge's absence, questions have arisen about whether his nonattendance is symbolic or indicative of broader political dynamics.
