Earlier on Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee had warned that Assam NRC could lead to unrest.

“If it continues to be like this, don't you think it will create a bloodwar?” said Mamata Banerjee.

The West Bengal CM also alleged that even Indians couldn’t make it to the final draft list.

“In Assam, it’s not just only about Muslims, they want to throw out 40 lakh people. How come Indians have become foreigners suddenly? What is going on in Assam? The NRC problem. It is not only the Bengalis, it is the minorities, it is Hindus, it is Bengalis, it is Biharis. More than 40 lakhs people voted yesterday for the ruling party and suddenly today they have been made refugees in their own country” said Mamata Banerjee.

On Monday, Mamata Banerjee had accused the government of excluding ‘Bengalis from the list’.

“The NRC draft list has excluded many Bengalis. They are running a 'Bengali evacuation' drill. Irrespective of religion 40 lakh Bengalis have been excluded from the list. Where will these 40 lakh people go now?” had asked the Trinamool Congress chief.

“People are being isolated through a game plan. We are worried because people are being made refugees in their own country. It’s a plan to throw out Bengali speaking people and Biharis. Consequences will be felt in our state also,” she had added.
