Addressing at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, intricately detailed the ardent security affairs carried out by the Law enforcement agencies across the country and beyond.
In the tweet, he wrote how the security forces are tussling terrorism and security situations in Jammu and Kashmir, insurgency North-East, Naxalists and Maoists.
Speaking of counter-terrorism operations, he claimed that 125 terrorist suspect arrests have been made, more than that in 2017. He even addressed the global counter-terrorism operations, citing how Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria have been overpowered.
National Investigation Agency (NIA)
The Union Minister reported of the counter-terrorism law enforcement agency, NIA, informing a total of 45 NIA Special Courts have been founded in the country, including the Union territories and holds one of the highest conviction rates in the world. Out of the 183 cases registered, 135 have been charge-sheeted, with a trial concluded in 37 cases, out of which 35 have resulted in a conviction.
In September this year, the NIA conducted searches at seven locations in Tamil Nadu pertaining to suspected Islamic State recruits, leading to seven arrests.

North-east India and Indo-Myanmar border
The Home Minister said that there has been an improvement in the North-east India region with a lessening of the occurrence of violence in 2018 by 17%, and 38% reduction in civilian deaths.
He further tweeted, "to plug the gaps on the Indo-Myanmar border, an inter-ministerial Committee headed by MHA has formulated a revised protocol for effective implementation of Free Movement Regime. AFSPA was selectively relaxed in Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya, inviting a positive public response."
The Naxalite terrorism in the country has reduced, the Union Minister confirmed, further congratulating Intelligence Agencies, Security forces and state police for the achievement.
Citing the recent bomb-blast in Amritsar, the Union Minister lashed out at Pakistan for their efforts to support radical entities.

Acknowledging the gravity of cyber crimes, the BJP leader said in tweets that "the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team CERT-In) issues alerts and advisories regarding latest cyber threats and countermeasures on regular basis. CERT-In has published guidelines for securing IT infrastructure." He added that mock drills of Cybersecurity are timely conducted.
He further said that "the government has initiated setting-up of National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC) to generate necessary situational awareness of existing and potential Cyber Security threats". As per Singh, the government is also leveraging on advanced technology to make border security stronger. Comprehensive Integrated Border Manager System (CIBMS) is being used to create invisible electronic barriers, easing the stress off soldiers.
Along with border, Rajnath Singh listed the coastal security details. He tweeted, "Coastal Security Schemes I & II were started with a view towards improvement of overall coastal security and enhancement of capabilities of the coastal police."
