The grand wedding of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's elder son Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, the younger daughter of diamond merchant Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta, took place on Saturday, March 9 at Jio Gardens Mumbai. The celebrity couple looked absolutely regal as they tied the knot. While Shloka donned a gorgeous red and gold lehenga, Akash looked dapper in a gold embroidered-off white sherwani.

As the pictures of the grand wedding surfaced on the internet, the looks of the newlyweds has stunned the netizens as they have been wondering who has designed their wedding attires. On Sunday, designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla claimed the credit and said that the hand-embroidered outfits were customized. They also revealed that not only the bride and the groom, but they have also crafted groom's mother Nita Ambani 's outfit for the evening.  

Sharing pictures of Akash, Shloka, and Nita Ambani on Instagram they extended greeting to the newlyweds. In the post, they wrote, "And they are married! Bliss and Blessings upon them! Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani and Shloka Mehta in custom, hand-embroidered #abujanisandeepkhosla"

The wedding of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta was an extravagant affair. The grand ceremony last night was attended by several A-listers of Bollywod including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, among others. 

The pre-wedding festivities began weeks ago on February 23, 2019 with a grand bash in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Many Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Karan Johar, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor among others attended the event. The celebrations took place at the Badrutt Palace. The celebrations in Switzerland saw performances by Chris Martin of Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. A private musical night at Antilia, followed by the Mala and Mehendi function, a Sangeet ceremony and Anna Seva at the Jio World Centre, were also hosted by the Ambani family.
