Following India's decision to revoke Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan had begun propaganda on social media with an anti-India narrative fearmongering and warmongering over Kashmir. Since then Pak-backed stooges have been spreading misinformation and Pakistanis have been responding to it by sharing and posting similar material. Pakistanis have also taken to protests with the government asking U.N to hold an emergency meeting over the matter.

On Friday, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy told his followers of 'Patriotic Tweeple (PTs)' to be aware of malicious tweets by those from the neighbouring country. Mocking them, he said that Pakistanis are in 'deep neurosis' and 'suffering trauma-induced melancholy' owing to PM Narendra Modi's troika of attacks in two years (Two surgical strikes and the decision to abrogate Article 370). He told them that there was no point in replying to them.

Swamy slams P Chidambaram over communal remark

In retaliation to former Union Minister Chidambaram's communal claim over the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, BJP's Subramanian Swamy accused the Congress party of being under the 'influence' of Pakistan. In an interaction with Republic TV, the BJP leader claimed that the Congress party was silent when Kashmiri Pandits were 'driven out' of the valley, and that they are making statements on the 'directions' of Pakistan.

He said, "What we have done is with the Constitution of India on an Article which was stated to be temporary and an assurance was given in the Constituent Assembly that as soon as the work of Mr. Nehru in UN Security Council is over this Article would disappear and Mr. Nehru made a mess of it in the UN Security Council, and Pakistan did not implement the directions of the UN Security Council so it was a dead letter. There was no UN matter left. Second, when 5 lac Kashmiri Pandits were driven out, I didn't see anybody from the Congress party speaking in on this, and in fact, Congress had been in power later but did nothing about it."
