The ambulance was en route to Dhanubhanga, transporting Basanti Brahma Choudhury, who had just been discharged from Goalpara Basanti Brahma Chaudhary Hospital. The accident spot was notably narrower than required due to ongoing four-lane road construction, exacerbating the severity of the incident. Authorities are investigating the bridge's structural integrity and the circumstances leading to the collapse.
