New Delhi: A 16-year-old boy, studying in Class 11 of a government school in Jahangirpuri was stabbed in the school premises by his classmate for mocking the latter’s appearance.
The accused juvenile, 15, stabbed his classmate with a kitchen knife after feeling embarrassed.
Victim Made Fun of Appearance
“The victim, along with two other boys, made fun of the accused and his appearance a few days ago. There was a minor scuffle that day. The accused was hurt and brought a knife to take revenge. He stabbed the victim outside their school building,” police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
According to police, the victim was stabbed in the abdomen, but the injury was later revealed to be closer to his chest.
A case has been lodged against the minor under sections of assault and he was apprehended. He was later produced before the juvenile justice board and sent to an observation home.
Earlier this month, a brawl between two students of a school in west Delhi’s Vikaspuri took an ugly turn on Wednesday when the father of one of them allegedly got involved in it. He allegedly arrived at the school with bouncers and thrashed the other boy to teach him a lesson, police said.
