People on the internet were left amused after they got to know that they can use  1996 calendars in the year 2024. The cost of 28 year old calendars has increased on eBay, such as one featuring Home Improvement star Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Dailymail.co.uk reported. 

Among the many calendars being sold on eBay right now is the Star Wars 1996 calendar. The calendar currently costs $150, as per a report on Dailymail.co.uk.

The reason is that the days and dates coincide exactly with 2024, and a rise in interest in nostalgia from the 1990s means that people are prepared to pay a premium for them online. 

Similar to 1996, this year has 366 days and started on a Monday. The next time the pattern appears is in 2052.

It happens infrequently, typically every six to eleven years. However, since 1996 was a leap year, 2024 marks the first time a calendar from that year can be used again. 

What is interesting about the similarity in both the calendars is that In addition to the Olympics being held in both years (though the dates don't coincide), the US presidential election is correctly scheduled for November 5 of 2024 on a calendar from 1996.
