7-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped by Minor Boys in UP's Ballia

Ballia: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two minor boys in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, police said on Saturday. The accused boys are said to be seven and eight years old. 

Both the accused boys have been sent to police custody. The incident which is said to have taken place on Saturday night, has sent shock waves across the city.

After the matter came to light, the child was admitted to District Hospital from where she was referred to BHU Hospital in Varanasi for better treatment. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard on the basis of complaint of victim's family. Police also started questioning the accused boys.

According to SP Vikrant Veer, police received information about the incident on Saturday night. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
