After Quarrel, Delhi Man Kills Sister-in-Law He Had Affair With
Police, who had launched a search for Shivam, found him in injured condition on railway tracks near Bijwasan station near Delhi this morning.
New Delhi: A 28-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her brother-in-law after an heated argument ensued between the two in Delhi's Kapasera area, said police on Thursday. It has come to light that the duo were in an extramarital affair.
The victim has been identified as Rita Yadav, while the accused has been identified as Shivam Yadav (32). The investigation has revealed that the accused took the extreme step after a quarrel ensued between the duo.
According to sources, police received the information about the murder late on Wednesday night following which they rushed to the spot and found Rita lying in a pool of blood after being stabbed with knife while the accused was absconding. Thereafter, a forensics team was called in to inspect the crime scene.
Police, who had launched a search for Shivam, found him in injured condition on railway tracks near Bijwasan station near Delhi this morning. He was hospitalised and his condition is said to be critical.
Police have registered a murder case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Rita was employed with a private firm as a receptionist while her husband Ambuj Yadav and Shivam work at an e-commerce firm.
An investigation into the murder is underway. More details are awaited.
