Bengaluru Metro Service Shut Between MG Road and Indiranagar After Tree Falls on Purple Line Track

A big tree branch fell on the tracks of the Trinity circle metro station towards MG Road on the Purple Line at 7.26 pm

Bengaluru: News coming from Bengaluru where a big tree branch fell on the tracks of the Trinity circle metro station towards MG Road on the Purple Line at 7.26 pm.

Due to mishap at Trinity circle metro station Namma Metro trains are operating only between Indiranagar and Whitefield, and between MG Road and Challaghatta. 

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) is taking steps to clear the branch and resume normal operations on the the purple line. 

‘Due to a tree branch falling on the metro tracks just after Trinity Station towards MG road. Trains are operating only between Indranagar to Whitefield and MG road to Challaghatta , from 7.26 PM . Efforts are on to clear the branch and resume normal operations,' BMRCL said in a statement.

Due to heavy rains Bengaluru witnessed waterlogging and power cuts at different areas while several trees also fell after a heavy thunderstorm in the city on Sunday evening.
