Bengaluru: In an extremely shocking incident, a three-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted by her 55-year-old female nursery teacher; the latter has been booked under POCSO Act.

A three-year-old nursery student in Anwar Layout, Venkateswarapura of Bengaluru city has been a victim of sexual abuse at this tender age, by her own nursery teacher.

Parents File Complaint After Girl Complains of Pain in Private Parts

The incident came to light when the victim began to cry and refused to go to school, just ten days after joining the new school. It was then that she complained to her parents about pain in her private parts.

The complaint fled by the parents of the toddler read, "Our daughter is a student of a private nursery school in Anwar Layout, Venkateswarapura. She started attending school on June 6. After 10 days, she began refusing to go to school. When we asked what was wrong, she complained of pain in her private parts. Later, she told them about the teacher’s actions."

55-Year-Old Teacher Arrested, Investigation Underway

On hearing what their daughter had to endure in school, the parents reportd the matter to the authorities, filed a complaint and also took her to the hospital for a thorough check-up.

According to Rahim Patel, the Kadugondanahalli Police Inspector, the teacher has been booked under the POCSO Act; she does not have any criminal background and she has been working at the nursery school for seven years.

An investigation is underway and the police has also obtained a medical report from the doctors.
