Bike-Borne Assailants Rob Man of 1kg of Gold In Hyderabad

The victim was carrying 1kg of gold in the car when two individuals approached him in a two-wheeler and snatched away the gold.

Hyderabad: In a gold heist carried out in Telangana's capital Hyderabad, one person carrying 1kg of gold was robbed in broad daylight by two bike-borne assailants on Thursday. 

According to police, the victim was travelling in the car when two individuals approached him in a two-wheeler and snatched away gold. 

Police said that the two accused individuals fled from the spot and teams have been formed to nab them. 

"The incident occurred on Thursday at 4 pm near the Clock Tower. One person was travelling with 1 kg of gold when two accused individuals arrived on a two-wheeler and snatched the gold from him," an official said. 

A case has been registered and a total of four teams have been formed to search for the suspects, they added.

Earlier in February this year, cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 75 lakh in all, were stolen from the two lockers of the State Bank of India branch at Uttarakanchi village in Prathipadu mandal of Kakinada district on Wednesday night. 

Superintendent of police S. Satish Kumar told the media that the thieves removed the grills of the windows of the backside of the branch and broke two lockers and stole the cash and gold ornaments from them.
