A video featuring a youngster doing terrifying acrobatics with his motorcycle and popping crackers while riding it was uploaded to the Devil Riders Instagram account on November 12, the day of Diwali. At first, the youngster's name and the location of the incident were unclear. Police began an investigation on the directives of higher-ranking Tamil Nadu police officers, and it was discovered that the incident had occurred in the Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) district of the state. The Trichy police also launched an inquiry, and they subsequently discovered that the person responsible for these antics was a man named Manikandan who lived in the Thanjavur region.
The individual who captured the antics on camera and shared them on social media was Ajay, a 24-year-old resident of the Trichy district's Kallangadu neighborhood. The person riding the bike, identified by the police as Manikandan, is seen in the video that was uploaded on Instagram first attaching a cracker to the front of his motorcycle on top of the license plate. This is the kind of cracker that shoots upwards and explodes. Someone lights the cracker as soon as Manikandan starts the motorcycle. As soon as the bike accelerates, the cracker begins to burst.
