Nellore: Several houses gutted in fire in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore as a massive blaze spread leading to the death of one specially-abled woman, who reportedly couldn't escape from the site. According to the reports, as many as six gas cylinders exploded during the incident that took place on Thursday, leading to a mass destruction to the properties around. On information, the local police and the team of fire fighters along with several fire tenders rushed to the spot and efforts were initiated to control the fire.
According to the police sources, during the incident, which occurred on Thursday afternoon at around 2.35 pm at Ranganayakulapeta in Burmashell Gunta, gutted the houses of as many as 14 families.
A senior police official identified the deceased as Nagalakshmi, who reportedly could not get out of her house in time and thus fell prey to the fire. According to Nellore District Disaster Response and Fire Officer Vaka Srinivasa Reddy, another woman was also injured in the fire incident was admitted to a hospital.
