6 Killed, 5 Injured After Truck Rams Tractor in Andhra's Krishna District

Amravati: At least six people were killed and five were injured after a truck rammed a tractor carrying wooden logs while trying to overtake it in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district, as per media reports.

The accident occurred on Friday, June 14, early morning. Reports citing eyewitnesses stated that the truck overturned after colliding with the tractor killing five on the spot and one succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the information, the police and local authorities rushed to the site to initiate a rescue operation.

The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment and are currently critical.

As per police officials at the site, this accident caused a massive traffic jam of two kilometres on the route.

The identity of the deceased has not been revealed yet, and an investigation is underway in the matter.
