Big Relief for Sadhguru as Supreme Court Dismisses Case Against Isha Foundation
In a big relief to Sadhguru, the case filed against the Isha Foundation has been dismissed by the CJI-led bench of the Supreme Court of India.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the case filed against Sadhguru's Isha Foundation; the petitioner had moved the Madras high court with his grievance that his two daughters, both of whom have a master’s degree in engineering, are being brainwashed at Sadhguru Centre.
Big Relief to Sadhguru! SC Dismisses Case Against Isha Foundation
The Supreme Court has cancelled the proceedings against the Isha Foundation in the High Court. However, the Court has clarified that the effect of this decision will be limited to this case only. The apex court has said that this habeas corpus case will remain closed.

CJI: When you have women and minor children there needs to be an ICC. Idea is not to malign an organisation but there are some requirements which has to be complied with. Mr Rohatgi you have to impress upon the institution that these have to be complied with
CJI: The proceedings cannot be used to malign somebody or an institution. but this intervention by OBC mahasabha.. Mr Varun Thakur it is very clear why was this filed and please know that it is doing harm to the purpose that is being addressed here.
CJI: It is clarified that closure of habeas corpus proceedings will not affect any other regulatory compliance which isha yoga foundation has to meet.
All About the Case
The high court had on September 30 passed an interim order on a habeas corpus petition filed by Dr S Kamaraj, who sought a direction to the police to produce his two daughters, whom he alleged were held captive inside the Isha Foundation before the court and set them at liberty.
The petitioner was a retired professor from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He has two daughters and both had masters in Engineering. Both of them joined the Isha Foundation. The grievances of the petitioner was that the Foundation was abusing certain persons, by brainwashing and converting them as monks and not even allowing their parents and relatives to meet them.
