Tirupati: The Iskcon temple in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati received a bomb threat late on Sunday night, following which the security of the temple was beefed up.

This is latest in the series of bomb threats. This comes a day after a Bengaluru-Ayodhya flight and several Lucknow hotels received bomb threats, trigering panic and extensive searches.

It is learnt that the staff of the temple informed the police that the ISKCON temple in Tirupati received a threatening mail to blow it up with bombs. Soon after, police conducted inspections with bomb squad and dog squad in temple premises.

According to media reports, citing police, the mail stated that ISIS terrorists would blow up the temple. During searches, however, no explosives or any suspicious items were recovered.
