BREAKING: Fire Breaks Out in Flat at Noida's Lotus Boulevard Housing Society

Noida: A fire broke out at a building inside Lotus Boulevard housing society in Sector 100 in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida on Thursday morning. 

Visuals have emerged from the fire site wherein the flames can be seen engulfing an apartment of the housing society. Huge plumes of smoke can be seen emanating from the apartment in one of the residential towers of the society.

The housing society consists of several multi-storey buildings. However, there were no immediate reports of any casualties in the fire incident. Soon after receiving the information, fire tenders were rushed to the site. The fire has been doused.

According to Pradeep Kumar, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of Noida, the fire was caused by an explosion in a Split AC.

The CFO said, "5 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire fighting systems in the society were working and the fire was doused off before we reached. The fire was caused by an explosion in a Split AC. No injuries or casualties have been reported."  

Police said the fire broke out after the AC exploded and engulfed the table beneath it. The flames did not spread to the entire flat but remained contained to just one room.

Pradeep Kumar added, “The fire did not spread to the entire flat but remained contained to just one room. Since the temperatures outside are very high people are using ACs. This fire was caused when the indoor unit of the split unit of an AC exploded. The fire then spread to the table beneath the AC, eventually spreading in the entire room...”
