Fire Breaks Out at Dadar's Chitra Cinema Hall in Mumbai

Mumbai: A fire broke out in Chitra Cinema Hall located in the Dadar area of Mumbai on Saturday afternoon. Fire brigade officials reached the spot as soon as the fire was reported. Fortunately, no injury or loss of life has been reported in this fire incident so far.

BMC said the fire, which broke out in the canteen of the cinema hall, was confined to the electric oven, food items, electric installation and wiring. The theatre was evacuated by Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) for safety reasons. However, the fire was doused in 10 minutes. 

The management at Chitra Cinema issued a statement saying:
"We wish to address the recent unfortunate incident that occurred at Chitra Cinema Hall in Dadar on Sunday afternoon. First and foremost, we are grateful to confirm that no injuries have been sustained, as verified by the BMC. The fire, which originated in the canteen area, was swiftly brought under control. 

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) responded promptly and effectively, evacuating the theatre as a precautionary measure. 

The safety and well-being of our patrons and staff are our highest priorities. We commend the MFB and our staff for their quick and professional actions, which ensured the safety of everyone present. Our team is working closely with the relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive fire safety check to ensure our premises meet all required safety standards.

We want to assure our patrons that the situation is fully under control and that we are taking all necessary steps to prevent future incidents, reaffirming our commitment to safety.
