Bengaluru: A youngster died atop Karnataka’s Tadiandamol peak while trekking on Sunday, December 24. Tadiandamol is the highest peak in Kodagu. 

Identified as Jathin, 23-years old, was on a trek to Tadiandamol with his friends and they successfully reached the peak. However, after reaching the summit, Jathin developed breathing issues and fainted. 

A doctor, part of another trekking team, attempted to save Jathin. But, the young trekker suffered a massive heart attack and died within minutes, reports suggested. Jathin was a resident of Haryana and had arrived in Bengaluru for trekking.

The local police stations were alerted immediately who rushed to the peak upon receiving the information. The body of Jathin was brought down on a stretcher and was shifted to district hospital in Madikeri. A case has been registered by the Napoklu police station.
