Terror Attack on India's Largest Army Base in Jammu, 1 Soldier Injured in Firing with Terrorists

Jammu: Massive anti-terror operations have been launched in Jammu after movement of suspected terrorists; the Sunjwan Military Station, India's largest army base in Jammu has been sealed and during the firing with the terrorists, one army jawan has been injured.

Anti-Terror Ops Underway in Jammu After Suspected Terrorist Movement

A massive anti-terror operation launched in Jammu after suspected terrorists movement near the largest army base in Jammu - Sunjwan Military Station. 

The special operations group has been called in for the operations and the army base has been sealed for any movement.

As per the Jammu Army sources, terrrorists were intercepted saying they want to blow up a movie hall in Jammu.

Also, the movement in and out of Army base in Jammu has been on lockdown for the past few weeks.

1 Soldier Injured After Indian Army Opens Fire on Suspected Terrorist Movement

The Indian Army has opened fire on the suspected terrorists movement.

One Army jawan has been injured in the Sunjwan military station in Jammu after terrorists fired from a stand-off distance from outside the base. 

According to the defence officials, search operations are on to locate the perpetrators. 

Security Beefed Up, Jammu Pathankot National Highway On Alert

Amid the ongoing firing between the Indian Army and the terrorists and the ongoing anti-terror operations, the Jammu Pathankot National Highway has been put on alert and the security has also been beefed up.

According to the Additional Director General of Police Jammu Anand Jain at Sunjwan Army base, US made M4 rifles were used by terrorists to attack the Indian Army jawan.

Indian Army Issues Statement

The Indian Army has issued a statement on the firing between the army and the suspected terrorists,.

The statement reads, “Today at about 10:50 AM few rounds were fired at Sunjawan Military  Station, one soldier is critically injured. Operation has been launched. Further details being ascertained.”
