Mumbai-Bound Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Jaipur Airport

Jaipur: An Air India Express flight IX-1762 made an emergency landing at Jaipur Airport on Monday morning after a 10-year-old passenger experienced breathing difficulties. The flight, which had taken off from Jaipur bound for Mumbai at 9:40 AM, landed back at 10:28 AM, just 48 minutes later.

According to airport officials, the flight crew was alerted to the child’s medical emergency shortly after takeoff. Emergency facilities were prepared at the airport for the landing. Upon arrival, the child and a co-passenger were attended to, and the child was promptly transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.

An Air India Express spokesperson stated, “In order to enable medical attention to a guest onboard, our flight on Jaipur-Mumbai returned after takeoff. After landing, the guest and co-passenger were attended to. Subsequently, the flight resumed its journey to Mumbai. We remain committed to the safety of our guests and will continue to prioritize their health and comfort.”

The flight resumed its journey to Mumbai at 11:53 AM after the medical situation was addressed.
