India News: Karnataka BJP MLC Baburao Chinchansur tenders resignation

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting focussing on the mental wellness of students and zero tolerance towards discrimination in educational institutions across the country.

Senior officials from the school and higher education department, CBSE, AICTE, and UGC attended the meeting.

Four persons, three of them from Bihar, have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a developer in Navi Mumbai, police said on Monday.

Delhi Court on Monday sent Hydrabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai to judicial custody. He was arrested by Enforcement Directorate on March 6, 2023, in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy case.

Four detainees were sent to Dibrugarh, Assam after custody. They are Daljeet Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bhukhanwala and Bhagwant Singh. One more detainee, Harjeet Singh - the uncle of Amritpal Singh is en route to Dibrugarh. He is being taken there, said Punjab IGP.

He added, "NSA (National Security Act) has been invoked against the five people (being sent to Dibrugarh) who were arrested."

Rouse Avenue Court has extended the custody of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia till April 3 in the Delhi excise policy case. The court has extended his custody in the CBI case, currently he is in ED remand till March 22.
