Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced the opening of four new official retail stores of Apple in India, adding onto the company's expanding market in the country. Addressing an event, Tim Cook said that they can't wait more to open new stores for Apple consumers.

"We can't wait to bring four new stores to customers in India," Tim Cook said.

All four stores are planned for major cities, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR. These stores are expected to generate employment for approximately 400 people.

"We continue to be excited by the enthusiasm we're seeing in India, where we set an all-time revenue record," Cook added. The Company earned record breaking revenue in India during its 3rd quarter.

Apple reportedly generated around Rs 800 crores from their existing official stores in Mumbai' BKC and Delhi's Saket in their first year of operations.

India's strong performance is highlighted by Apple's total iPhone revenue reaching $46.2 billion for the quarter, up from $43.8 billion a year ago. In fiscal year 2024, the company produced $14 billion worth of iPhones in India—double the amount from the previous year—solidifying the country’s role as an important manufacturing hub for Apple.

CFO of Apple, Luca Maestri, highlighted strong performance of apple products from all segments, saying "double-digit growth" in India and South-Asia.
