Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday in New Delhi to address his state's financial challenges. Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s poor financial condition and requested increased central support under various schemes for state rebuilding.

The TDP, with 16 Lok Sabha MPs, is a significant ally in the BJP-led NDA government. Naidu had previously met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek enhanced financial assistance for the debt-laden state.

Naidu also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to the national capital.

These meetings are part of his efforts to secure crucial support and resources from the central government to stabilize and improve Andhra Pradesh's economy.
