Class 11 Girl Fatally Stabbed by Neighbor in MP's Jabalpur

Jabalpur: A 16-year-old girl studying in Class 11 was allegedly stabbed to death by her next-door neighbor in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, according to police. The reason for the attack was yet to be ascertained.

The accused, Yashwant Patel (21), entered the victim Riya Patel's home at approximately 1:30 pm in Kulon village and stabbed her twice with a knife, said City Superintendent of Police (Bagri) Sunil Nema.

Kulon village is situated about 45 km from Jabalpur.

The accused later fled from the scene and teams have been formed to nab him, the official added.

Superintendent Nema stated that the investigation into the reason for the killing is ongoing. A First Information Report has been filed against Yashwant under section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to the offence of murder.

4-Year-Old Girl Shot Dead Outside Home in Patna

A four-year-old girl was shot dead outside her home at nightfall, minutes after her parents went inside. This is a second incident in two days as on June 3, a three-year-old girl was shot in the chest in Bihar's Danapur.

Unknown assailants gunned down a four-year-old girl outside her home in Patna; the incident took place in Rupaspur area of the city on Tuesday night.

The victim was living in a rented house with her family and this incident happened when her father Hari Om Kumar returned home from work at night. Kumar's daughter was at the door when he entered the home and parked his motorcycle; his wife went inside to keep groceries.

This is when they heard a gunshot and rushed outside; Kumar said, "When we rushed out, we saw our daughter lying in a pool of blood'.

The girl was taken to a private hospital nearby but she was declared dead.

An investigation is underway, CCTV footage is being reviews and the police is looking for the attackers. According to the SHO of Rupaspur, Ranvijay Singh, the girl succumbed to her injuries during treatment and her body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
