Indore: A 13-year-old student in Madhya Pradesh's Indore died after jumping from the 14th floor of a building, as per media reports. The CCTV footage installed at the building and preliminary investigation reveals that the girl committed suicide.
The seventh grader, identified as Anjali was studying at Advance Academy School. Anjali left for her school in the morning and her father walked her to the gate.
However, the CCTV showed that Anjali took a lift but instead of taking a bus she went to a nearby apartment building, reached the 14 floor and then jumped off, ending her life.
The reason behind Anjali taking this drastic step is unclear and the police are investigating the matter.
Anjali used to live with her family, which includes her father, who is a manager at CCI Container Corporation, and her older brother, who studies in the 11th grade at DPS School. The family originally hails from Pune and moved to Indore from Vishakhapatnam in March 2024.
This reports to be the second suicide case in Indore. Last week, an engineering student in Indore died by hanging herself.
As per reports, the police found a suicide note in which she had written that she could not live up to her family's expectations. She could not become what she wanted to become.
