Army porter goes missing in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri

Ashok Kumar, hailing from Bhawani village of Nowshera sub-division of Rajouri, was deployed with the Rashtriya Rifles Unit of the Indian Army.

A porter working with the Indian Army in Nowshera area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir went missing since early morning on August 25 while he was on his way to the Army camp. Security forces have launched massive searches in the area to locate the missing porter.

Sources informed Republic that Ashok Kumar hailing from Bhawani village of Nowshera sub-division of Rajouri, who had left his home for the Army camp in Lam, has gone missing. He was deployed with the Rashtriya Rifles Unit of the Indian Army in the Nowshera area.

Senior official of the J&K police told Republic that searches have been launched by joint forces. Ashok’s mobile call data is also being scanned by the investigating officials so that more details can be gathered. Police officials further noted that all angles are being looked into by the agencies.
