Maha: Child development officer held for accepting Rs 40,000 bribe
A child development project officer from Osmanabad district in Maharashtra was nabbed on Sunday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 for clearing bills of gas connections provided by the complainant, an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) official said.

A child development project officer from Osmanabad district in Maharashtra was nabbed on Sunday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 for clearing bills of gas connections provided by the complainant, an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) official said.
The officer, who is posted in Paranda tehsil, had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 48,461 but later settled for Rs 40,000, the official said, adding that a case was registered at the Paranda police station.
