Patna: Students at an engineering college in Bihar's Banka district left shaken after allegedly finding a dead snake in their food.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday night, resulted in hospitalisation for at least 10-15 students who consumed the contaminated meal.
According to reports, students started experiencing nausea and vomiting shortly after eating dinner at the college canteen.
A horrifying discovery was made upon closer inspection of the remaining food, a small dead snake was found in it. The college canteen is reportedly operated by a private owner.

Following the incident, local authorities including the District Magistrate (Anshul Kumar), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and a team of Police officers visited the college for investigation.
This incident raises serious concerns about the hygienic standards maintained at the college canteen. It is important to ensure the safety and well-being of students by implementing stricter food safety measures.

Recently, IIIT Hyderabad students raised concerns about the food given at the prestigious college, reporting cockroaches and flies.
