The proposal is now set to be reviewed by the central government to proceed to the tendering phase.
Route and Length
The extended corridor will cover a total length of 23.73 kilometers, with 2.72 kilometers of this stretch located in Haryana . The extension will connect rural areas along the Delhi-Haryana border to the urban center of Delhi, providing a much-needed link for these regions.
Time and Cost
The project is estimated to cost Rs 6,230.99 crore and is expected to be completed within four years. Once operational, the corridor will allow commuters from the extended areas to travel to central Delhi in approximately 90 minutes.
Stations
The extended corridor will include 19 stations between Rithala and Narela. It will also feature two additional stations in Haryana : Kundli and Nathupur. This expansion is part of the larger Delhi Metro Phase-4 project, which includes several new lines aimed at enhancing urban mobility.
