Delhi Traffic Alert: Sarita Vihar Flyover Partially Shut for October, Check Alternative Routes

New Delhi: Attention Delhiites! It has been announced by the Delhi Traffic Police that the Sarita Vihar Flyover on the Mathura Road will remain partially closed for the entire month, starting October 1. Take a look at the list of alternative routes issued by Delhi Police.
Delhi Traffic Alert: Sarita Vihar Flyover Partially Shut for Oct
In a traffic advisory on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), Delhi Traffic Police has notified the locals about the closing of the Sarita Vihar Flyover for the month of October.
The post on X reads, “Due to repair work of Sarita Vihar Flyover on Mathura Road from 01.10.2024 to 30.10.2024 by PWD, traffic may be affected. Kindly follow the traffic advisory for alternate routes.”
Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued
The Delhi Police advisory says, "The repair work of Sarita Vihar flyover on Mathura Road will be carried out by Public Works Department (PWD) from 01.10.2024 to 30.10.2024. During the period from 01.10.2024 to 30.10.2024, half portion of the carriageway of the flyover from Ashram to Badarpur will be closed for traffic while the other half portion of the same carriageway will remain open for the traffic round the clock. The other carriageway leading from Badarpur to Ashram will remain fully open for traffic.
General public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections and remain updated through

Sarita Vihar Flyover Closed: Alternative Routes
- Commuters coming from Ashram on Mathura Road and leading towards Badarpur and Faridabad on Mathura Road are advised to take Road No. 13-A from slip road of Sarita Vihar flyover and thereafter take a U-turn from Road No. 13-A to reach on Mathura Road for their ultimate destination.
- Commuters coming from Ashram and destined to Noida via Mathura Road are advised to take DND flyway from Ashram Chowk to reach their desired destination.
- The commuters coming from AIIMS, Moolchand, Lajpat Nagar and West Delhi and going towards Badarpur/Faridabad may take Lala Lajpat Rai Marg/Outer Ring Road-Maa Anandmayee Marg and M.B road to reach their destination.
