Disturbing video: Rodents run over patients in Rampur, Aligarh hospitals | WATCH

New Delhi: A disturbing video has been going viral on social media wherein rats can be seen crawling over the patients, and medical equipment inside a hospital in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. While the video is being widely circulated on social media platforms, it has been reported that rats are frequently observed scurrying across the floors of the district hospital, indicating a severe infestation. 

Another distressing video has surfaced from the District Hospital Malkhan Singh in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The footage showed a chaotic scene where rats are running rampant throughout the hospital premises, creating an alarming situation.

This is not the first time rats have created havoc inside UP hospitals. Earlier, a seriously injured patient who was admitted in the ICU of a government hospital in UP Badaun, was badly bitten by rats. 

Ram Sevak Gupta, a resident of Budh Bazar town of Dataganj tehsil area, was seriously injured in a road accident, and was admitted to the Government Medical College for treatment. Given his critical condition, he was shifted to the ICU and was on a ventilator. When his wife went into the ICU to see him, she found that a rat was biting his feet and the former was bleeding profusely. There were similar marks on his forehead, ears and toes due to the negligence of the ward staff, his family had alleged.
