'Enforce Law and Order Strictly': Uttarakhand CM Dhami Instructs Officials

Reviewing the law and order situation of the state, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami gave strict instructions to the officers to make law and order tight.

Dehradun: Reviewing the law and order situation of the state, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday gave strict instructions to the officers to make the law and order of the state tight and asked them for proper enforcement of the law in parts of the state. 

"CM Dhami gave strict instructions to the officers to make the law and order of the state tight and proper and to effectively control the crimes.The Chief Minister directed the Senior Superintendents of Police to brief any criminal incident in time and also asked them to provide its information to the Director General of Information immediately, so that the real status of the incidents reaches the general public through the media. He asked them to maintain constant coordination with the media,” Chief Minister's office said in a statement. 

The Chief Minister instructed the formation of an inquiry committee led by the SP City to investigate the recent jewelry shop robbery in Haridwar, emphasizing that strict action should be taken against those responsible. He also highlighted the goal of making Uttarakhand a drug-free state by 2025 and underscored the importance of community policing.

The Chief Minister called for a review of strategies to better manage crime in the state and stressed the need for prompt resolution of complaints. He advised officers to maintain a simple and respectful approach with their subordinates and avoid regionalism. Additionally, the Chief Minister directed that public awareness and training programs be enhanced to effectively prevent cybercrime.
