Kurukshetra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday made a big statement in Haryana saying that to make India a developed nation, Haryana needs to develop. Addressing an election rally in Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s Assembly constituency, from where he is contesting the polls, PM Modi exuded confidence in winning and said that as per his political senses, people of Haryana are set to score a hat-trick for the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) in the upcoming state assembly polls. During his speech, the Prime Minister took aim at the Congress party saying that during the Congress ’ tenure, the development money remained limited to only one district.

Addressing the people of Kurukshetra, Prime Minister Modi said, "To make a developed India, Haryana needs to develop."

“People of our Haryana are very true to their words. Once they make a promise, they keep it,” the PM asserted. Pertinently, Haryana will vote on October 5 to choose the 90 members of the state Assembly and the results will be declared on October 8.

PM Modi stated, "I have come to request you to form the BJP government once again. You have allowed me to serve in Delhi for the third consecutive time and the enthusiasm that is being seen here, my political experience tells that Haryana is set to score a hat-trick for the BJP .”

“Our Chief Minister himself is a candidate from Kurukshetra. Today, this son of Haryana is being praised all over the country. Very few people get so much support in such a short period and there is a reason behind this. It is because our Chief Minister remains dedicated to the development of Haryana ," the PM emphasized.

“Coming to Kurukshetra and visiting the pilgrimage site of Indian culture fills the heart. Here is the knowledge of Gita, here are the signs of Saraswati civilization, this is the land of the sixth Patshahi of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The feet of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji have fallen here. At such holy land, I have come to request you once again to form the BJP government,” he said.

‘We Fulfilled What We Promised’

PM Narendra Modi said, "I had said that this time the first 100 days of the BJP government will be full of big decisions. They will strengthen the poor, farmers, women and youth. Even though 100 days have not been completed yet, our government has started new works worth about Rs 15 lakh crore. 3 crore pucca houses have been approved for poor families."

‘Ayushman Bharat’ For People Above 70 Year
The prime minister talked about the recent decision made by his government granting Ayushman Bharat scheme for all the senior citizens above 70 years of age. He said, "Two days ago, we made a very big decision which will benefit lakhs of families in Haryana . The BJP government has decided that all the elderly above the age of 70 will get free treatment of Rs 5 lakh."

PM Takes On Congress

While addressing the rally in Kurukshetra, he took on the Congress party on development work, saying, "In the last few years, Haryana has reached among the top states of the country in terms of investment and income. I am proud of this. We have seen the period of Congress government when the development money was limited to only one district. Every child of Haryana knows in whose pockets that money went. BJP has connected the whole of Haryana with the development."

PM Mentions Himachal Turmoil

" Himachal Pradesh is in your neighbourhood. Two years ago, the Congress government was formed there. But what is the situation there today? No citizen of Himachal is happy. Congress fed lies to every section there but none of the promises made were fulfilled,” PM Narendra Modi asserted.

“Today, government employees are forced to go on strike for their salary in there (Himachal). Even the Chief Minister and Ministers have to pretend to give up their salary. There, Congress had promised to give Rs 1500 to women and thousands of women are still waiting for this money. In Himachal, Congress has made electricity, water, petrol, diesel, milk, everything expensive. There is no other party in the country more deceitful than Congress."
