Balrampur: A tragic incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh, where four minor sisters, the youngest of them aged seven, drowned in a river while taking a bath on Monday, news agency reported citing police.
According to Balrampur Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar, the deceased girls were the daughter of Raju, a resident of Kalu Bankat village. The deceased were at their maternal grandmother’s house in Rehra Bazar for Eid-ul-Azha celebrations before they went to the Kuano river.
The deceased were identified as Reshma (13), Afsana (11), Guddi (9) and Lalli.
Their bodies were pulled out of the water with the help of local people, the SP said.
