Gaya: Amid the ongoing Navratri festivities and upcoming Durga Puja festival, a traffic advisory has been issued in Gaya, Bihar to ensure smooth running of traffic in the city, throughout the days of festivities. Check the road restrictions issued by the police.

Gaya Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead of Durga Puja Festival

As mentioned earlier, to ensure smooth traffic and lesser traffic jams during the Durga Puja festival in Gaya, the traffic police has issued a traffic advisory that will remain in place from October 9 to October 13.

Gaya Traffic Advisory: Road Restrictions, Diversions Issued

Read to know the traffic restrictions announced by the Traffic Police along with the diversions and/or alternative routes - 

  • All kinds of vehicles will not be allowed on GB Road and Ramna Road from 6:00 am to 3:00 am. 
  • Restrictions will also remain in place for vehicular movement from 1:00 pm to 3:00 am towards Kedarnath Market and Peer Mansoor Road from Collectorate Roundabout.
  • Pick-up vans and goods carriers' entry will remain restricted in Gaya town from Ramshila Mor, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  • From 6:00 am to 3:00 am, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to go from Muffassil Mor to Kirani Ghat.
  • Specific routes will also have a one-way entry that must be followed.

Gaya Traffic Advisory: Parking Spaces Allotted 

The advisory has also highlighted specific parking spaces for vehicles coming from different routes, to avoid inconvenience.

  • If you are travelling from Muffassil, you will park your vehicle at Azad Park.
  • Those coming from Tekari, Sikaria Mor-side and Delha, will park their vehicles at the Gaya College playground.
  • Zila School Ground is the parking space for those coming from Chand Chauraha, Kashinath Mor, Nutan Nagar and Koiri Bari.
