Goa reports 191 new COVID-19 cases; two more die, 166 recover

Goa reported a rise of 191 coronavirus positive cases on Thursday, which increased its count of patients to 7,614, an official said.

With the virus claiming two more lives, the death toll reached 66, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 5,453 after 166 people were discharged during the day. The count of active cases is now 2,095, he said.

"A 67-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man died due to the infection on Thursday, the official said.

A total of 3,376 samples were tested on Thursday, of which 191 were found positive. While 1,946 of them tested negative, the reports of 1,239 others are awaited, he added.

Goa's COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 7,614, new cases 191, death toll 66, discharged 5,453, active cases 2,095, samples tested till date 1,42,193.
