Good News for Navi Mumbai Residents: Belapur-Pendhar Metro Line Fares Reduced

Mumbai: Starting September 7 (Saturday), the Belapur-Pendhar metro rail corridor in Navi Mumbai will offer reduced fares, as announced by a senior official from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The fare cut represents a 33 percent decrease, designed to enhance accessibility for commuters.

Under the new fare structure, the minimum fare will be Rs 10, and the maximum will be Rs 30. Previously, a ticket from Belapur Terminal to Pendhar was priced at Rs 40, but it will now be Rs 30. CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal highlighted that the fare reduction aims to benefit commuters and encouraged Navi Mumbai residents to utilize the service.

Routes and Timings

The Belapur-Pendhar metro line, part of Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, spans 11.1 km and began commercial operations on November 17, 2023. This section connects Pendhar Station to Belapur Terminal, with trains operating every 15 minutes. Service hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM.

Fare Structure:

• Rs 10 for distances of 0-2 km and 2-4 km
• Rs 20 for distances of 4-6 km and 6-8 km
• Rs 30 for distances of 8-10 km and beyond
