Gujarat Rainfall: Massive Cavity Emerges on Road in Ahmedabad, Car Falls in Crater in Gandhinagar

Gujarat: A road caved in Shela area of Ahmedabad city amid heavy rainfall that the city has witnessed. 

Meanwhile, in Gandhinagar, a car fell into crater after a part of a road caved in earlier today following heavy rainfall.
 

As city witnessed torrential rainfall, a massive cavity emerged on the road triggering a temporary closure of the road.

The restoration work is underway. 

Meanwhile, heavy water logging has been reported at several places in Ahmedabad city. 

Valsad city recorded 4 inches of rainfall in 2 hours today. Many areas of the city experienced waterlogging, disrupting daily life.

According to the weather department, heavy rainfall will continue in the state for the next two to three days. In several low-lying areas of the city, water has entered homes. 

Waterlogging has also been reported at Gota, Sardarnagar-Airport, Navrangpura etc areas in Ahmedabad today amid heavy rainfall.
