Gujarat sees 62 COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths, 194 recoveries

Ahmedabad, Jul 5 (PTI) Gujarat reported 62 COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking its tally to 8,23,895, while two deaths, one each in Surat and Ahmedabad, took the toll to 10,071, an official said.

He said 194 people were discharged during the day, taking the state's recovery count to 8,11,491, leaving it with 2,333 active cases.

"Ahmedabad district led with 14 cases, followed by 11 in Surat, eight in Vadodara," he said.

A release said 2,71,07,405 vaccine doses have been administered the state so far, including 2,99,680 on Monday.

Neighbouring Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu's tally remain unchanged at 10,541, while its recovery count rose by three to touch 10,502, leaving the Union Territory, which has seen four deaths so far, with an active caseload of 35 as on Monday.
