Explosion at House in Chandigarh's Sector 10, Probe Underway

New Delhi: An explosion took place at a house in Chandigarh's upscale Sector 10 area on Wednesday. A bomb detection squad was deployed to the scene to gather samples. Following the incident, a team of the bomb detection squad was called in to collect the samples. 

Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardeep Kaur and other police officials reached the spot to take stock of the situation.  

Speaking to reporters, Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur said that the police received information in the evening about a suspicious explosion. 

“The investigation is ongoing, and evidence is being collected from the scene. Our forensic teams are present at the location, and a thorough examination of the case is underway. The complainant has reported that two youths in an auto rickshaw may have thrown the suspicious explosive into the house. We are currently investigating all angles, including the type of explosive, the reason for its placement, and its nature”, she added.
