High Alert in Jammu Following Reports of Suspicious Movement

Jammu: Security forces were on high alert in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday following reports of suspicious movement of three people in Akhnoor border belt, news agency PTI, quoting officials, reported. A search operation was launched by the security forces in the border belt of Jammu district.
The forces have asked locals to share if they have any details of suspected movements in their areas.
A joint operation was launched by Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Guda Patan and Kana Chak areas near the Chenab river in the Akhnoor border belt this morning after some people apprised police about the suspicious movement of three people in the area.
Searches were conducted at agricultural fields, villages and adjoining scattered habitation, officials said.

Cupboard 'Hideout' Used by Terrorists Busted in Kashmir
Recently, security forces busted a 'cupboard' hideout used by terrorists, in Chinnigam Frisal area in Kulgam district. The terrorists were killed in an encounter in south Kashmir's Kulgam on Saturday.

They had created a bunker inside a cupboard. "They had created a bunker inside an almirah," media reports quoting an official had reported. The police were also probing the alleged involvement of locals in sheltering the terrorists.
According to police, all the killed terrorists were affiliated to the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit.
