Moscow: India's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Thursday held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS NSA meeting in St. Petersburg in Russia. Doval during his interaction with Putin conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's message for him on former's visit to Ukraine and meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy .

Speaking to Putin, Ajit Doval wrote, “As Prime Minister told you during the telephone talk that he was keen to brief you about his visit to Ukraine and meeting with President Zelenskyy and he wanted me to come specially and personally to brief you about the talks which were held in a very close format… it was only the two leaders, he had his two persons with him… I happen to be with the Prime Minister, I attended that conversation…”

During the conversation, Russia's President proposed to hold a bilateral meeting with PM Modi on October 22, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan to summarise the outcomes of joint work on the implementation of the agreements reached during his visit to Moscow and to outline prospects for the near future.

Ajit Doval, in turn, conveyed the words of gratitude from the Prime Minister. He also informed about Narendra Modi 's readiness to share information on his recent visit to Ukraine, the Indian Embassy in Russia informed.
