IndiGo's Abu Dhabi- Delhi Flight Diverted To Muscat After Technical Snag
New Delhi: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Abu Dhabi was diverted to Muscat on Monday after the pilot detected a technical snag on the aircraft mid-air. The Abu Dhabi Delhi flight made an emergency landing at the airport in Muscat. All the passengers and crew members are said to be safe. In its statement, the airline stated that IndiGo's flight 6E 1406 operating from Abu Dhabi to Delhi was diverted to Muscat due to a technical issue. It said the aircraft will be back in operations after necessary maintenance.
Meanwhile, it said the passengers have been offered hotel accommodation in Muscat and alternative arrangements are being made to facilitate their journey to destination.
"We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers," the IndiGo spokesperson said.
According to the passengers, the plane suddenly started vibrating after take-off after which it was diverted to Oman, reported ANI
The latest incident comes days after a similar incident took place aboard Air India's flight AI-183 from New Delhi to San Francisco, when the pilot was forced to divert the flight to Krasnoyarsk International Airport in Russia due to some technical glitch on July 18.
The flight was later re-badged as AI 1179 landed safely at the San Francisco Airport.
Further details regarding the incident are being awaited.
