Jaisalmer Gang-Rape Incident: Four Suspects Detained, Search for Fifth Suspect Underway

In a grave and distressing case from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, a 19-year-old woman has accused five men of gang-rape after being given an intoxicant to her. The victim reported the incident to the Mahila police station on Wednesday, alleging that the assault occurred on August 28. 

In response to her complaint, police have detained four of the suspects, while efforts to apprehend the fifth accused are ongoing. Additional Superintendent of Police Priyanka Kumawat confirmed that a formal case of gang-rape has been filed against the individuals involved. 

The police are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice for the victim and to bring all perpetrators to account. This case underscores the pressing need for enhanced protections and legal measures against sexual violence.
