Jilted transexual chains woman, cuts with blade, burns her alive in Chennai

A jilted lover allegedly killed his partner after he chained her, cut her with a blade and burnt her alive in Thalambur — a suburb in Chennai — on Saturday. 

The half-charred body of the 25-year-old software engineer R Nandhini was discovered by residents. Besides, the techie also had deep wounds from the blade on her neck and limbs. The locals immediately alerted the cops and rushed Nandhini to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. 

Cops zeroed in on a 26-year-old suspect named Pandi Maheshwari who was a former classmate of Nandhini in Madurai and was reportedly a transexual individual. 

Maheshwari, who had developed a friendship with Nandhini in the past eight months in the same software firm, had changed her name to Vetrimaran. 

An enraged Vetrimaran allegedly killed Nandhini after she decided to part ways with the former and engage with others. Cops took Vetrimaran in judicial custody and further probe is on.
