Magnitude-3 earthquake hits Haryana's Sonipat
A series of earthquake hit different states in the country on Sunday. Tremors were felt in Assam, Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Haryana.

New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on the Richter Scale hit Sonipat in Haryana on Sunday morning, the National Center for Seismology said. According to the NCS, the tremors were felt at around 4 am with a depth of 5km. The epicentre of the quake was Sonipat. However, there were no sudden reports of any injuries.
Later in the day at around 7.36 am, tremors were felt in Assam’s Darrang when a magnitude-3.0 earthquake hit the district.

Mild tremors were felt by residents of Panvel and Navi Mumbai also in the early hours of Sunday after an earthquake of magnitude 2.9 hit off the west coast of Maharashtra’s Mumbai. The quake took place at a depth of 15km. At around 5.50 pm, a magnitude-2.3 earthquake struck West Khasi Hills in Meghalaya at a depth of 5km.
