Man Dies in House Fire in Maruti Kunj; Cause Under Investigation

A man was tragically burned alive when a fire erupted in his house in the Maruti Kunj area, police reported on Thursday.

The fire brigade managed to control the blaze, but the man had already been severely burned. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The deceased was identified as Sanjay, a resident of Maruti Kunj near Bhondsi. The fire broke out Thursday night and spread rapidly, making it impossible for neighbors to extinguish it with water from a bore well. According to a fire officer, Sanjay was alone in the house at the time of the incident, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

"The body has been handed over to his family after the post-mortem. An investigation is ongoing," a police officer stated.
